| The Board's comments on this appointment (including rationale, selection criteria, and the search and nomination process) | Mr Tan Tze Wooi will be appointed the Chief Executive Officer (Designate) of CapitaLand Retail China Trust Management Limited ("CRCTML") with effect from 1 March 2017. He is currently the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of CRCTML, a role he assumed on 1 December 2016. In line with his new appointment, Mr Tan will relinquish his concurrent role as Regional General Manager of North China for CapitaLand Mall Asia Limited ("CMA"), a position he has held since March 2014. Mr Tan has about 20 years of financial experience in real estate, corporate banking, credit and auditing in Singapore and China. He joined the CapitaLand Group in 2005, and has been based in China since 2008, during which he held various leadership positions including Vice President of Investment and Asset Management of CRCTML and General Manager of Investment and Asset Management of North China for CMA. Mr Tan's familiarity with the operations of CapitaLand Retail China Trust's shopping malls in China and experience in investment and asset management gained from his present and past roles in CMA will be an asset to CRCTML. Based on Mr Tan Tze Wooi's experience, qualifications and performance, the Board of CRCTML has approved his appointment as Chief Executive Officer (Designate) prior to him assuming the role of Chief Executive Officer upon receipt of regulatory approval. |
